@M1, S& salaries are in line with Consulting salaries or at least the firms that recruit from the best B Schools. There's a reason PwC doesn't recruit from Wharton / Harvard / Stanford. #justsaying 😁
We get only 2 weeks to look for the next job. And unlike other MBB, there are no resources or support given to us to transition into our next role. It's almost like we are tying to be like MBB (bill rate, up or out, recruiting large numbers from MBA programs) but we don't have the pipeline, alumni network, post-counsel-out support to match... if this was a Capability Driven Strategy assessment... our capabilities are not sufficient to support our designated Ways to Play

@s1 sorry to hear that. I was mostly staffed this year but have nothing positive to say about the firm. I am interviewing for MBB. I think the integration was handled too poorly and left too much confusion even amongst upper management about expectations or norms. That's why 10 diff convos w 10 diff partners / directors will yield 10 diff answers across both pwc and s&. As a new joiner you have no source of truth, you're told you can try cross staffing, then you're told you can't, you're told things are fine but no one is selling, on and on.... it needs to be fully integrated like deloitte s&o, it's too confusing for everyone otherwise.

You should have seen this company. Acquisitions are made mostly IP, access to clients/relationships, and senior resources who carry weight in their resumes. Unfortunately Warm bodies are of no use to the acquiring companies, and they will be laid off, especially if they had bloated salaries.
M1 is spot on. No reason to pay an S& SA as much as an experienced advisory manager

@S& - A business model where you mostly hire people from top b-schools, and delivery only strategy decks with no immediate ROI, is no longer a sustainable model. There is limited demand for models like that, and clearly Booz could not sustain that model. Hence they were forced to sell to PWC. Off-course when you visit campuses like the ones you mentioned you have to offer what other offer - keeping up with MBBs. Clearly S& have been biting off more that they could chew, and finally things caught up to them. Also pretty sure MBAs who joined S& where the ones who couldn't get into MBB.
Actually M1, I chose Booz over McKinsey back in the day. So not everyone chose it because they didn't have a "better" offer.

@PwC1 - No. S& brand will cease to exist in the next 5 years. If PWC can salvage what is left from a disastrous Booz acquisition, and integrate well with PWC, then PWC could start operating like D. The advantage D has is that, for the most part,
they grew their consulting practice organically.
