Guys , whoever is interviewing and planning to join , do ask project availablity on priority basis before you take decision. On Java front looks like there is some project issue due to recent slowdown in market. My offer was not revised even after agreement with recruiter because of this.

Hi Fishes, I am bit confused to pick the role in KPMG lighthouse as Sr Cloud Data architect or Saama technology as a Project lead. Money wise it is not a big difference. Not always staffed based on ability, it's busy season advisory can be used to fill even on audits, it sucks but it gets you off the bench and off the radar of the utilization police
Suck it up and be thankful you aren't on the bench.
If you keep “sucking it up,” you won’t run your career... your career will run you. Getting diverse experiences, im all for that - figuring out what you like/don’t like, gaining insight on different business ops... But it sounds like you’ve been on this project and you know that you don’t like it. Idk what you’re waiting for... unless your original roll off date is within the next month, get out.

Find a project. Build up KT material for your replacement. Find a replacement. And ask for roll off.
Exactly in your shoes. I raised this issue to my RP and saw immediate results.
Stuck in the same situation. Sometimes it's not all about you, obviously they think you can do the work and they need someone. When asking around for ways to prevent this from happening, the best response I got was, keep yourself off the bench. 🤷🏻♀️
If you're Staff 1, I don't think there's much you can do. You're brand new and supposed to be getting "diverse" experiences...
Thanks everyone. I guess I'll just 'suck it up'
I disagree. It’s all about how you frame your situation to your demand or partner. If this project outside of your competency will run most of your first year as an associate, that can be a genuine career concern. It’s not the competency you signed up to be in, so it doesn’t make sense for you to be in there in the first place. It gets harder for you to move as you develop an expertise...
