Switched companies and am trying to rollover my 401K from fidelity into Schwab rollover IRA. Fidelity sent me the check to deposit on the mobile app but Schwab is giving me an error due to contribution limit. How do I get around this? Do I need to call Schwab to bypass that limit for the rollover?

Yeah just call their customer service line and they should be able to process it. As its roll over it should not have a limit. They might ask you to mail the check to them or visit local branch. I sent my roll over checks to them.

I visited a local branch and it worked fine. If you have a local one, might be worth a visit.

Make sure the IRA is "non-contributing rollover". After you've deposited this check don't contribute to this account anymore.

What does this affect?

Not the same scenario but will put it on here for reference . I did a rollover of traditional IRA from fidelity to 401k plan in vanguard. In this case you need to request a check to be mailed to you but payable to vanguard. Then you mail it to vanguard after finishing a process online.

Local Branch.

Would you say Austin’s real estate market will go through a correction in 2022? I am considering there in a few months (wife and 3 kids) from a normal-priced city. I’ve read both bull and bear scenarios online and I’d like to get some “Bowl’s” thoughts. Thanks!
