Does anyone feel their firm has great maternity benefits/work life balance? I am 29, junior level, have a toddler, 8 weeks pregnant, and love my job but I feel the need to prove myself constantly.

Base: 100k
Variable: ~125k

$1.2m quota. 3/4 of team is hitting quota. I hit mine in August.

Unlimited PTO. Pretty good benefits.
I work roughly 30-40 hours a week.

4 years sales experience, 8 years total experience.

Does anyone feel like the stock market with 401k/IRA is a herd mentality of everyone contributing for people to take out money when they’re older similar to social security at this point? And those of us participating are minimizing gains vs. individual stocks because we’re waiting on basically more people to contribute to the funds every month and to stay in the funds?

I just don’t understand the downswings on these 401k funds so significantly if everyone is DCA someone is selling.

Got offered a non-canadian pension fund of funds role in PE team which mainly does primary and co-investments(no direct/carry). Should I take it to get buy side experience or look for a better exit? Currently in CDD team

How to help an SO?

SO is too sensitive/not-resilient and it causes instability. A negative moment (nothing to do with our relationship), can cause huge negative emotions, crying and dark thoughts. Outside of these moments, SO is usually happy.
