1. Consulting - 150k, fully remote, stagnant growth but easy to make a ton of money and get promoted, would probably move to MCOL if I take this role
2. Big Tech - 165k, in office role and opportunity to learn a lot and grow, great team and benefits

I have been an on-call coordinator with a large healthcare company for the past 8 years. I am on call 96 hours each week. During those 96 hours, I am required to always have cell and internet, answer calls on first ring if possible (within 15 minutes if missed), and log calls in real time. Before taxes, I make $700 a week. Am I being paid properly?

I had a divorce mediation last week. The client wasn’t thrilled with the results (is anyone after mediation?) but we left with the two things she wanted: the house and her pension. She thanked me. My office sent the bill a few days later, and client wrote my boss a very long, angry email claiming I gave her incompetent representation. My boss backed me 100%, but I haven’t been practicing very long, so it really stung. Anyone have advice on dealing with self doubt in these situations?

New/pivoting into HR! 👋 Currently working as a TA Coord with a little entry level work in HR Ops prior to this. Is there a SHRM link, reliable test, or method of shadowing the various parts of HR that will provide a sample of the work, thinking, and day to day experience of each group? I have $20k in savings, I owe $6,000 to my 401k loan, that’s the only loan I got. I am debt free otherwise except for my house. Should I use my savings to pay off? My sister had received an offer letter for the "Functional Consulting - Analyst" role on 7th September, 2021. Been over a year now but have not heard back anything.

Although when we were able to get in touch with an HR, we were assured that we would be receiving a call letter after a month/week but that was 4-6 months back... No correspondence since then.

Anyone in a similar situation? Is there a clear way to know when the call letter would be released?

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.
