Starting salary:
At pwc with an MST it is ~ 80-85; however the group is more consulting esqe than compliance. I'm not sure about ey KPMG, but at Deloitte it is pure compliance and therefore normal ranges apply (70k mst, (65-67 no mst).
Im not too familiar with senior ranges, but for pwc a good rule of thumb would be
(Starting salary * 1.1^yrs of service)
So if you applied for pwc senior int'l tax, I would assume 97k. At a compliance driven int'l tax group (another firm) I would assume 85k. Basically, the more lawyers in the group (80% at pwc intl tax) the higher your salary will be because of how average salary will be higher within the group. Keep in mind, the pwc group only takes MST so the salary number has that baked in, in a way.
Tldr: expect 85k without MST
@Ey1 then u should be fine in terms of competitiveness as long as one of the classes you took would be in that group (international tax). Just have to make it clear on the resume you have taken several tax classes and your degree should be equivalent to a MST. It's not a *requirement* it is just the talent pool has a lot of MST candidates, which isn't the same thing in every situation.
Average is probably around High $70’s but could get to low 80’s if experienced hire
I agree with Deloitte1 since at Deloitte it is mostly compliance in ITS while PwC is mostly consulting in ITS
