Hold regular video or conference calls to allow team members to connect with each other, and encourage team-building activities like socializing over chat or working on projects together.
You can do it in a few ways: by having regular video chats or meetings, setting up regular social events (like happy hours or team-building exercises), and communicating company values and goals clearly to all team members. It's also important to be as transparent as possible with remote team members, and to encourage them to communicate their concerns directly.
That's a tricky one. It's difficult to stay in touch with one another when you don't see each other every day. One of my favorite things that my boss does is tell us how much she appreciates us taking on the challenge of doing things remotely. She also doesn't make people turn on video during our meetings, says she doesn't care how messy our homes might be, she's not here to judge LOL.
We have "meetings" every week in Minecraft, sounds silly but the team is having a great time building our corporate office together and it lightens the mood for all of us
I stay in frequent contact with everyone on my team, and make sure that I provide ample opportunities for them to work together on projects whenever possible. Just because we aren't in the same physical location doesn't mean we aren't depending on one another.
