Any advice on a first year trying to transition from family law to in-house? I always thought family law was my path, and used to enjoy it, but it’s not the direction I want to head in anymore. I don’t think I even want to continue with any litigation work. I’m having a hard time finding firms that are hiring entry level associate positions that don’t require at least 3+ years experience in-house. Should I start at a business law firm to get experience working with corporations first?

Now decided I have to come out from this comfort zone. I know it is possible but worried a bit with my exp. I need you guys advice..Plz

What are the pros and cons of joining a Captive Organization for Salesforce ?

It is true that in service based consultings the learning curve will be better coz we'll get to work on a lot of projects compared to a captive organisation ?

How should one decide? Can someone list out the pros and cons of both. It would be really helpful for a lot of people.

Thanks in Advance!

For those who came from an unrelated position or career, what was the reason that got you into Product Management? Is it enjoyable and/or what you expected it to be?

I was wondering if the review course “CPE Self Study Course” for the CFF was enough preparation to study and pass the CFF exam. The CFE review course was enough and like if you get a question wrong it explains it well so that when it comes up in a different way in the real exam you can still get it. But when I saw the outline for the CFF material and there seems to be a lot of topics so I was wondering if the review course was sufficient considering this exam is also multiple choice. Thanks!

Most people know the photo of Ruby Bridges surrounded by federal marshals on her first day of school, but it's equally imp to remember what she saw. Grown men and women protesting a child's school attendance by calling her insults and threatening murder. She had nightmares after seeing the black doll in a coffin. Ruby is 66 today.

Hi Sharks 🦈,

Need some suggestions: My current company is on a layoff spree and 2 rounds are already done and I can foresee another round coming very soon.

While I am trying to switch to other companies, I’m not able to reveal the real reason from my side for the job change, as if I say, it’s because of layoff fears than it’ll reduce my negotiation power.

What other reasons can I give as I’ve just completed 9 months here and it’s too soon for any other company to take me in.

Baby furniture. What is everyone doing? FTM and trying to figure out if it’s worth investing in very expensive nursery furniture. We were looking at the Natart furniture collection and the Silva collections. These both come in at about $2000-$2400. The furniture is high quality and grows with the child. Alternatively I could go the lower end route at get everything for like $800. Is that wise? I hear horror stories about low quality and paint chipping from the baby teething on the crib.

Rather than risking developing a new brand and experimenting with marketing strategies, you can invest in a franchise and gain access to the franchisor's tried-and-true techniques as well as a network of other franchise owners. While the corporate world typically slows it's hiring down in the first quarter of the year, franchisors are looking for talented individuals to turn their employee status into ownership status. Many will take that year end bonus and utilize it to pay their franchise fee and begin their venture into becoming their own boss. Others will be frustrated by no year end bonus or raise. Wondering what to do next. There are franchise opportunities for most everyone. Let's chat!
