The toughest part of my day is leaving my baby in someone else's care when he is sick. Balance it's such a unicorn. I am considering a LOA just to spend more time with my baby. I feel so guilty.

I’ve been with my bf for 18 months and we have not said ‘I love you’ to one another. I keep hearing about how the best/healthiest relationships are a slow burn, you’re friends first, grow to love each other, etc. I’ve never been in a relationship as emotionally slow as this one. One of my best friends growing up just passed away. We lost contact with each other a year or two after graduating high school and I recently came to learn he was was battling cancer the past 5 years and ultimately succumbed to the illness. He hid it well from everyone and led a very private life during it all. To make matters worse, he had just turned 25. Seeing pictures of the condition he was in towards the end of his fight broke my heart. I wish I had known so I could’ve been there for him.

sigh* last week Saturday my s/o & I broke up after our 3 year relationship. & it really been affecting me negatively — not eating, autopilot mode, self isolation & diving deep into work. Today I decided to go outside, where I picked up some food to go and went to an outdoor movie by myself; where I had the realization I just really enjoy being by myself. The man I love is now married to someone else. He was my best friend since university (were now in early 30s), we never pursued anything romantically (was too scared to tell him) and now he’s married to someone else and they have a baby girl. I went to see them and they have this perfect home and family. His wife is perfect, pretty & young and smart. I’m still single. I want to be happy for him but I was so jealous and sad and felt like crap. I can never tell him. Just had to let it out. :((

I'm italian, 26 yo and currently working in France as financial analyst.
Work environment is great, friendly and multicultural but I don't like the job at all.
Personal life is not so nice since I manage to see my family and gf every 30/45 days only. Colleagues have their own lives and at the end we don't hang out much.
My dilemma is:
A) going back to Italy at a lower salary with less growth opps but better personal life or
B) Switching my job here and hold on

Anyone have advice for advancing in your current role? My co-worker was hired in at manager level but somehow “proved” he was actually doing director level work and got a title promotion and salary increase in less than a year. I also went above and beyond my job as well (covering for him for a month while he was away on paternity leave) while taking on other projects outside of my job title and got zip—no raise or recognition. Any advice would be appreciated!

People in my team they don't come with me for breaks. (They blame the timings are different since they sit in crits but i don't think so because they have their own group of friends to go with)
