There are 3 different kinds of people at work on Thanksgiving week:

1. Took the whole week off. Complete vanished from the face of the earth. Do not call, text, or slack.

2. Showed up to work but basically just vibing until the inevitable, “finish anything necessary and go home early” email.

3. “Ohmygosh no one is here to ask me questions I can get SO MUCH WORK DONE THIS WEEK.”

Any I’ve missed? Lol

Why doesn’t Visa use collaborative tools like Slack and Google Workspace? I’m guessing it’s not a budget issue.

Does anybody else think that the Wharton Slack & Discord groups are kinda quiet/inactive compared to admit groups from other schools?

Generally curious how many companies offer phone reimbursement? My last gig did not but the current one does. Legally it seems, all employers are required to do so if we use our phone in literally any capacity (video call, slack, teams, emails etc). How prevalent is the issue of not reimbursing phone dues?

I was recently offered a Zoom interview. The school had 10 interview slots for me to choose from. Three were one day this week and the rest are next week. I chose the first time slot available. Should I have waited until one of the last slots so I was fresher on their mind when choosing a candidate? I am just sitting here stressing out until I here something.
