Thinking of upgrading the home office, thoughts on one wide monitor instead of 2 monitors

Extra wide curved monitor is killer

like

I have a 32” curved monitor from Samsung and love it way more than my 2 monitor set up at the office

like

Same. Best decision ever

It’s a preference. It’s easy to snap docs to the left and right side of one monitor so I think functionally they act the same but I don’t like seeing bezels and sometimes watch sports on my 34” curved monitor

like

One 35-40 inch curved is all you need. Way better than two smaller screens with a bezel between them.

like

I have been using a Dell S3423DWG and have found it value for money - don’t think practically speaking the talk about VA monitors having black smearing matters when you just use them for office work

Be wild. Double wide monitors.

funny

Go for one ultra wide.

Two monitors means you have a lot of wasted space between monitors and spend a lot of time turning your head.

You can also use Microsoft Fancyzones to switch your screen between having two or three segments at the press of a button

Looking for a new office chair at home. Any suggestions?

Two key qualities: comfortable and adjustable

Price is very flexible. Much rather pay more for a nicer chair than get a deal.

Thanks!

Hi all - looking for stats and help on what a St Consultant level III gets paid here in London? I’m curious how much other people with similar incomes save/invest a year; I’m a 24M, making 70K a year in a HCOL city. I saved about $12K in my first year of working out of college, and I feel like that’s pretty good but I could’ve done better. My rent isn’t too pricey, but I went on 3 vacations, go out to the bars frequently, and spend pretty freely on food. Anyone care to share their income and corresponding savings for FIRE?

Should I still wait for firm 2? I feel like I can’t stall anymore.. I feel like I really should give firm 1 a response this week 😮‍💨 but I don’t want to lose both offers

Had someone lateral into our firm as a fifth year (soon to be sixth). They were kind of a retool and went from small law to the firm I’m at. They are still learning a lot of basic stuff, and I think it’s weird that the firm hired someone at that level as a retool. They sometimes ask me for help with stuff, but I’m just getting annoyed at this point. Can I just say “no” since they’re about to be a mid/senior associate who should know all of this?
