Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

It's not a notice question it's a risk to your fellow passengers and those on the ground. Even off those phones don't belong on planes, literally hundreds have caught fire and it's not just the note 7s
It is selfish.
This is f#%&ing ridiculous
So what are you supposed to do with your phone then? Are ppl with Note 7s just not allowed to or can they only travel if they leave their phone at home? I think the better solution is for a mass recall of all Note 7s, whether they are replacement devices or not.
Replace it with non Samsung or leave it home.
And this one is the 3rd that is not a note 7, Samsung design is the issue not the lithium ion batteries, phones are unsafe
I brought my old and new note 7 on flights and charged them on the plane and it was fine. No one notices.
Um D1 and EY1. The devices are actually a real danger. I've had flight attendants lead with "if you want to live on this flight..."
I completely agree that they can be a danger. Just pointing out that "banning Samsung phone owners" from flying is illogical and a tad extreme.
Yeah, what's next? Banning Muslims? Note 7's have never caused a plane crash...
Not the owners, fly all you want, do t bring the phone on the plane
