That isn’t necessarily the case in most places. As an actively involved father I’ve found and given most of my support to working moms on my teams.

Likewise we expect men to parent (babysit, help) as if they don't have children and work as if they have children (must provide for family at any cost especially if spouse is not employed).

I think it's these extremes in cultural expectations that make it such a hustle for everyone.

Until men/primary earners start setting better boundaries at work and shouldering half the household mental load we will not see equality.

Wavering between tired and happy. Finally getting my stamina back post covid. I've walked 10 miles in the past week. Pre covid I was walking between 2 and 4 miles a day. But I can tell I'm still not 100 percent. I'm so tired in the evenings. Hopefully that will fade the next couple of weeks.

I’m getting ready for my first telephonic Case Management Conference as a first year associate. I’ve never been “in front” of a judge before. I received some training and I look forward to the experience, but I’m a little nervous about having to speak in front of the judge. I know the case, but I’m afraid I’ll freeze and make a fool of myself. Any advice re: court calls, courtroom etiquette, or stories about your first times in front of judges?
