Thoughts about turning down a promotion? Do you think that's a justifiable reason to be looked down upon by your peers?

Not sure about other branches but in the army you can decline, or at least postpone, certain promotions. Depends on the situation and there needs to be a valid reason why you refuse to rank up. I was slated to become a Major last year but I turned it down for personal reasons. Don't think my peers took that offensively, or at least that's what they tell me

When I was a device driver developer with 2 years relevant experience I had got calls from Nvidia and Qualcomm. Unfortunately I wasn't able to crack the interviews back then.

For next 5 years I worked mostly on application development and broadening my exposure. I am not getting even a single call from such companies now.

Is it a good idea to rebrand myself as a device driver developer so that I can get calls again?

Internship Program Help: Hi Everyone! I’ve never worked for a company with any type of internship program at all, let alone a really successful one. My new company thrives off our internship program, with many of our managers/directors having started as one themselves. I’d like to create more of a structure to this program but not even really sure where to begin. Also don’t want to bite off more than I can chew, but would love to hear some tips or even better, maybe have a quick chat if willing?
