Thoughts Chief of Staff roles? Was reached out to for a CoS to CEO position, decent size company (~$1b Val), but have zero clue what to expect. Doing some DD before I talk to the CEO.

Chief if Staff roles are very demanding. Expect bad work life balance. You are basically the one who will do most of the logistics and other work for the leader you support. If there is a good chemistry with the leader, it may be a dream job. But if you don’t sync, it will be a rough ride.

It can be very rewarding but your are basically the right hand man (or however you identify) or essentially their b*tch. Your job is to always be available.
