They’re saving money long term. People will leave cities and they’ll adjust their salary and equity to match the city the employees live in.
Yes - they'll save money.
I think it's more favorable for certain roles - engineers, individual contributors. But for client-facing roles, I believe you need to be in-person.
Plus, the collaboration and community that's built in person can't be fully replicated remotely.
