Thoughts on hiring marketing and BD services to drum up consulting business? I have avoided it for six years and have been totally unimpressed with the cold-call mills that have approached me - feel like they would not do anything but destroy my reputation with the senior company people I need to connect with. I'm also not interested in paying a salesman to learn my business and, maybe, sell something (maybe). Any success stories with marketing and BD firms?
