Thoughts on this? Several people mentioned that this is proposed all the time and gets voted down regularly. Is it worrisome? There’s a second one suggesting disability pay be taxed as well.

They propose a lot of things. No sacred cows. Until you see it sponsored by a legislator, I wouldn’t take much stock. Cutting entitlements are political suicide.

He could sign it into law but you need 50% of legislators to vote yes on also being one-term wonders. Always bet on politicians making self-preservation decisions.

It's politically and point-blank dumb as hell to try to do this on the back of Veterans who have given so much and receive little (proportionately) in return.
Meh. If you read the whole document you’ll see the $500-600BN in savings is trumped by their recommendation for other things. Like $2-3 trillion in savings by implementing a Value Added Tax/Consumption Tax. This document is just gaslighting those who don’t realize it’s a list of recommendations that most politicians will never sponsor.
