Today was a rough day. A family member fell ill and had to be rushed to the ER. End of life is imminent. It was difficult to concentrate and even worse to keep everything organized between the jobs.

I can't say I gave 100% today, but I tried. How do handle all of the responsibilities of overemployment when you can't leave your home life at home?

I have been on a doctors leave. I have used all of my sick day and FMLA. My school said I have to resign if doctor doesn’t release me after my appointment 5/12 my doctor wrote a lettter that said I can not go back to work and will be reevaluated Aug 15. Can tjey make me resign?

Does j2 background check decline you if they see you’re still employed with j1?

The first rule of overemployment is dont talk about overemployment to anyone outside your house. :). Second: always protect the main job. Third: As the main job always has the priority, the Second and third jobs must preferably be contract gigs with not too many meetings everyday. Remember: another day, another dollar.

I really want to get a second job but I am scared of losing my current one. Both companies are in same field, although not direct competitors so I know it’s technically “not allowed” however, this is the only way for me to get that $$ since I am not paid all that well.

Of course I won’t tell a single friend/coworker. Only my partner. And I don’t post work stuff on social media.
