Trying to move up in a Real Estate Company , corporate office - how do I look more appealing or what skills do I need for growth in this Industry?

7 year lawyer here. Been with the same big national firm all 7 years (not BigLaw) doing complex litigation. Been working remote a long time due to moving around for wife’s job. As a result of the moving was bumped off partner track. I’m looking at a great small firm that will be a practice change (but still litigation). I’m told they’re looking for someone with less experience and they’re skeptical because of my experience. It’s frustrating. How do I overcome this?

Thinking of applying to be an ASA and to the FL AGO. Would like trial experience or civil rights/con law work.

Within my first year of Consulting, really struggling with the hours amongst other things. Spoken to a couple of people internally and the advice is to get on to projects with bigger budgets and therefore bigger teams/more support. I've been applying to jobs for months but every position wants at least 2yrs of experience in real estate transactions, usually way more. I'm at 1yr+ doing HOA/condo work but have had no opportunity to do real estate transactions like I expected. Seems like the only way to get the experience is to have nailed a big law gig right out of school and get put into that practice.

Do you review the other side’s escrow instructions and provide comments? 4 years in and I’ve never done this. Working for a new partner and she insists on doing so “in case there are competing instructions” but isn’t that the entire point of funding through an escrow agent/title company?

We are looking to file something like an injunction injunction to stop a property sale. The property is owned by a sister and brother. Brother is deceased so it passed down to his children. The heirs bad no idea the aunt is trying to sell. Can we file some type of injunction?
