UK consultant here. Career dilemma: love PwC and don't want to leave, but my market value is ~50% higher than my current salary. What to do?

How did you determine that quantitatively

like

Secure offer your so called deserved market and leverage

like

Look at it long term. Do you want to stay at PWC forever? Then it's something that will hopefully balance out. If you don't see that happening, is your love of PWC worth making X less than you would elsewhere? If the answer is no, you have to leave. Bargaining doesn't work regardless of what people say.

like

Yeah agree that there's no bargain to be won here - the salary I could get in industry is (a lot) more than the top of my band here.

Or in other words, it would take me ~3 years to reach parity internally to what I can get in the market.

Yeah but how about growth, benefits, exposure to interesting work, etc.

Your client loves her supplier but the supplier is 50% more expensive than market. What would you do? If it's about the money, which it seems to be from your question, then go get it.

Funnily enough, procurement is my specialism

In my organization, most with my role are commission based. I make a set salary due to the firm I work for as an account manager/ coordinator for clients… I coordinate their enrollments, working with each groups HR department as to benefits and payroll purposes, and schedule our benefit counselors accordingly. I am finding that in most cases where I compare the voluntary benefits industry, I might be underpaid. What is an appropriate base salary for a position in which commission is replaced?

I started in my first SDR position in a small SaaS start up few months ago. I am the only SDR and their first ever.
The base salary is ok but I haven’t received any commission structure up to this day.
I book an average of 3-5 demos per week. People always show up, but the thing that worries me is that I do not have a way to track how many meetings I book in our CRM,and to be honest I feel like I didn’t get the best training overall. Should I start looking somewhere else? Thoughts?

Thanks

I have an interview for an in house position (only attorney) at a small non-profit focused on conservation easements. I am a transactional associate at a mid sized law firm. The prospect of freedom from the billable hour and contributing to meaningful work are the draws. The cons are that while the salary at the non-profit would only be slightly less than what I am making now, pay increases and opportunities for advancement will be much less than where I am now. Thoughts on making the shift?
