I had an interview with Cognizant and then got an email from HR to fill in CIS form and also along with to send all the documents. After i send all those details i got an email saying the position went on hold and to wait until they revert.
Any idea that how much time it would take for the position to be released? They did not respond when i asked the same question.

Senior Manager is a significant milestone and generally harder to achieve than prior promotions. You moving to another consulting firm will make you “go to the back of the line” for promotion, as others are in the pipeline, and no longer a guarantee. I think it bodes well to try and make senior manager at Deloitte since you’re so close and you already have a supportive and wide network (assuming this), and the senior manager title opens up a lot of possibilities not just with consulting but also in industry.
Ive experienced both. One time I was reached out for a senior manager role because I was senior manager at EY, without looking at my credentials (also because I don’t have anything populated in linked in other than title). I was also considered for higher roles after showing my CV that exceeded their requirements. Best to keep all options open.
Also significantly discount the bonus they are telling you you could earn over those two years. Almost no one gets the top end.
Agreed! Not assuming top tier bonuses in my calculation
I’m not sure that it makes sense to leave in my opinion
I get the reason to stay with my network.. but I am poised to earn significantly more over next 2-3 years.. any other reasons to not move?
Accenture Strategy is now merged with Accenture Consulting - consider your options accordingly.
Strategy is still separate
Are you in a position to argue for Sr. Manager at ACN?
I don't want to go as a SM - feel that's the hardest position to go to a new firm and be successful.. going in as a M gives me a year to establish myself
So what is your reason for considering this switch op? I can’t imagine it’s just the 25% bump when you’re up for promotion.
Gotcha.. yeah already did that
