Make sure you're making use of all the tax advantages accounts before opening a traditional brokerage account. IRA, 401K, and HSA. Then I'd suggest opening a vanguard brokerage account.
Roth IRA
P4 - make sure you don't run afoul with your firm's independence restrictions with index funds.
E3-Be careful with Roth IRAs. Your income has to be under a certain amount. I Passed up the limit a long time ago.
