Was asked by a manager at Capgemini if I’m interested in switching from Deloitte. As an Analyst, should I be considering this?

Absolutely not

No.

Context: Have been an SM at both

As a cap employee, I’d say no 🙂

Take your next step at Deloitte. That will look better and you didn't go to Cap😉

No.

No.

I just interviewed with both. Cap's interview was a huge red flag for the position I was interviewing for. They avoided talking about any of my experience, misunderstood my industry history even though I was explicit to the recruiter, and focused on trivial details instead of big picture (it was a big picture role). Deloitte was the exact opposite.

FWIW, I just got the offer from D and got turned down from Cap 🙄😂

helpfulfunny

Cap’s interview process is a crapshoot. But SM’s can make hiring decisions, which was a plus for me.

Deloitte’s hiring process is very structured. But the interviewer you get is still a crapshoot. Best bet was always to wire an interviewee to a colleague you trust if you’re trying to get someone in.

What’s the money difference? Cap is offering fantastic raises for Cs and SCs and for that level, it’s really not a big deal, in my opinion.

likefunny

What was the $$ offer from D?

like

No cap, and that's no cap.

funny

No. We’re not in a good place.

It’s bad - don’t go.

Hard No.

I am a graduating student who just got offered 65k for a solution analyst role at Deloitte USDC (Data Engineering Focus). From reading previous posts it seems to be a lot of negative thoughts surrounding the USDC, but straight out of college is this a good opportunity?

I'm looking to gain as much experience as possible out of college in an IT role and wondering what exit opportunities may be in place a year or two down the road if there is little/slow progression.

Any Advice?

I’ve completed the first interview with the hiring manager and a colleague, and have been fortunate to get to the next stage but im unsure how to prepare. I’ve done the usual compentencies, strengths and weaknesses and company research. But I don’t want to fail at the last hurdle as I really like this company and it would be a dream to work there any support or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
