Was just laid off from a big PR Firm where I was a planner. The sad news is that strategy was valued for winning pitches but rarely scoped for ongoing work. We made the agency and PR teams money but never saw it turn into billable hrs. The agency didn’t know how to sell its value. I’m now looking for my next position. What are some roles out there for brand strategists outside of agency? Reevaluating whether to go into an agency or in house.

My sister had received an offer letter for the "Functional Consulting - Analyst" role on 7th September, 2021. Been over a year now but have not heard back anything.

Although when we were able to get in touch with an HR, we were assured that we would be receiving a call letter after a month/week but that was 4-6 months back... No correspondence since then.

Anyone in a similar situation? Is there a clear way to know when the call letter would be released?

Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. Does anyone else have problems with people from other disciplines just flat out rewriting strategy slides in decks? Any tips on how to get the behavior to stop? In internal checkins everyone always seems on board, but afterward they will just go in and completely change the slides without consulting me. I love feedback, but I've never experienced this before and rewriting slides without my input feels like a major line being crossed. Unless I'm just crazy? I truly don't know any more.

What’s a good amount of time to be at the senior planner level?

I'm new to marketing and I am not formally educated in it. I have just been learning through experience with the business. I'm supposed to put together a Market report for our sales team to refer to but I have been stuck on what I even include. I have an expensive subscription to a reporting database and I am supposed to translate these technical reports into 20-30 slides. I can't figure out if I am overthinking something simple or lacking some knowledge that people formally learn in school.
