does anyone here work for Veeva Crossix?
Hello!
I finished my final round(s) for a TAM position at Google (GCP) last week and was told by my recruiter that my feedback was great and that I made a solid impression on the team and am "firmly in the running". I was supposed to hear back this week (according to the recruiter) but he just told me that it's still in the process and that I'll have to wait for another week or so.
Is this common at Google ? I have heard they are notorious for being really slow with their hiring process.
138k as an ACD in San Francisco - too low?

I was in a similar situation a few months ago. Recruiter gave me a verbal with a title and likely salary. Then she came back to me and said actually you need to meet with the MD of the practice you're applying for before we can extend the written offer and he will decide if the salary/title is appropriate. She even said "I would advise you to wow him," which had me terrified that they were going to go back on it since they hadn't extended the written. I met him in a Starbucks for 15 min before he left for the airport and ended up getting exactly what I wanted in the written offer.
Afterward the recruiter told me that my hiring team (which did not include my MD) liked me but was split on exactly what level I should come in at so they had the MD for the specific sub-practice they had tagged me to within the larger practice break the tie.
This was pre-covid though so I'm not sure if my story is relevant. I was very much freaking out though so I understand where you're coming from.
Yes let us know OP! Rooting for you.
Good luck ✌
Lower salary, delayed start, no bonus. Welcome to post-covid job search.
Accenture 3, normally they do
Update- just had the call, kinda funny the recruiter said it was going to be a “skill set/salary” discussion, instead it just felt like another interview lol. The MD asked me about my background, a few technical questions (which thankfully went okay). Didn’t get a super warm and fuzzy feeling from the guy, hopefully that’s just the fact that it was a Saturday early afternoon call. No mention of Covid affecting start date, and no talk of salary whatsoever.
Chief
I would reach out to the recruiter to confirm the call is for Saturday. Even in these CV-19 times, recruiting is still generally a M-F thing, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's just a goof.
SM - I second your thoughts!! Glad I left as well
Hope you get it!! Keep us posted. I definitely need to hear some good news about new roles and hires after my convos seem to be put on pause for now
The salary was agreed to from the verbal, was just waiting to hear about sign on bonus- what the heck could this be?
If you don’t mind, would you be able to share when you last interviewed with them? Trying to figure out what the timeline is from final interview to offer given the current situation.
Thank you!
What is GPS? Sorry for dumb question.
No worries, it’s Deloitte federal practice (Governemt and Public Services)
I had a phone screen with them this week...
You sure the recruiter didn’t realize tomorrow is Saturday? Might have been an honest mistake. The days are blurring together for a lot of people
