There is a vast difference between the parties. The Republicans were waving pre-printed signs, distributed at their convention, calling for mass deportations. That kind of thing would have been unthinkable not so long ago. If you put it in a movie people would say, oh come on, that could never happen. But a major political party is totally onboard with that kind of blatantly racist policy.

One thing I’ll give the Dems is that they are able to leverage that diversity AT TIMES in the marketing and promotions they do. I don’t think they do it enough to raise awareness about their messaging and policies tho.
Just from a visual standpoint, those differences struck me immediately. There was the enthusiasm and spirit difference for sure (I chalk that up to the DJ). However, the types and variety of people surrounding the speakers was more in line with the America I know, coast to coast.
