Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

McKinsey & Company Hi all! Any fishes at BCG and/or McK have time to chat sometime within the next few days/weeks?
I’m a consulting analyst at Accenture, really interested in strategy work (mainly tech/software clients but open to all backgrounds) hoping to make the jump some time next year. I’d very much appreciate connecting to understand your journey with the firms and the work you do.
Thanks in advance, and happy holidays!

I just have a usb-c to hdmi adapter. No docking station.
Portable monitor only (no laptop screen). Apple keyboard with butterfly buttons. Red ball scroll mouse from the 90s. Dial up (so of course no webcam). External floppy disk attachment. Gateway 2000 external speakers
I have an anker 777 with 2 27” monitors. I wanted to get a third but my job forced a mac upon me to kill all productivity.
Caldigit Thundebolt dock
If you have only this Lenovo Thinkpad, the best dock for you is Lenovo’s own Thunderbolt Dock because it has power button on it to turn on/off the computer while in closed-lid mode, which no other dock can do. If you do not care about this then your ultimate weapon of choice is CalDigit TS4 or TS5. That being said, avoid Dell docks as those have fixed length of the cable and a fan inside. Hope this helps.
I tried countless of docks and these work best for me.

My only problem with the Thunderbolt Dock is the bit locker screen does not push through display port connection.
I don't use a docking station. I use wifi and have cables to my monitor and camera.

I have two Targus USB-C docking stations(DOCK310) connected to two monitors each.
What’s the value prop on a docking station? I just ran a separate/spare power cord thru my desk, have an Ethernet dongle and a monitor/hdmi, and a wireless adapter for mouse/keyboard. When I need to hit the road, it’s like 3 cables to unplug?
