Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?

Loved their past work so much and I’m sad to see they’re devolving.

As an Audit Mgr, I’ve personally considered going for the CISA, given the ever increasing focus on IT in the audit. Seems to the gold standard for IT Audit.
But so far, it’s still the “one day when I have time” goal.
I looked at getting that. The work requirements make it really difficult to obtain though. You need 5 years of very specific experience.
This doesn’t answer your question of “beneficial”, but if you’re in audit, I’ve heard CFE is one of the easier ones to get. But also heard it’s doesn’t add much value to your resume.

Haven't gone for any myself, but I think it's really going to depend on what you want in your career. Beyond CFA for asset management, CIA/CISA for controls and auditing, and MBA if paid for by your employer, I don't see a whole lot of value in collecting certs.
Titles only mean that you’re good at taking exams until you show it through your work. To tell you, not all with CPAs or even with mba are really good at work.
Good point. Im just trynna get a flashy job. I swear, every client of mine making over 500k is an idiot who just knows how to sweet talk a room.
I imagine that having a CPA and CISA could help with your future career goals. Obtaining the CFA is also a good idea. It all depends on whether you intend to stay in auditing or pivot into doing something else.
Some LinkedIn members have many certifications. It is possible that they were required for further advancement or they just enjoy studying.
