What are my career options if I have an accounting degree but don’t have my CPA? (I’ve tried for years but can’t pass 😭)

I work at a big 4 and was up for manager last year. I stayed hoping I would pass the CPA and get promoted mid year but that didn’t happen. I’m still going to continue trying to pass but I think it might be time to leave the big 4.

I feel so lost help!

Is it hard to get into Salesforce? Big 4 consultant with 10 yoe, mostly in ERP/CRM implementation and program/project management, have Salesforce Admin cert but not much hands on experience due to mostly management exp, looking into Director TPM roles - should I apply? Or should I wait until I somehow gain more hands on SF experience?

So I recently graduated in the fall semester from school, and I am now trying to find a entry-level full-time position in my field. I graduated with a BA in Cinema and Television Arts; specifically in Entertainment Media Management. I wasn’t able to do an internship because of work and personal stuff. Does anyone know any good tips of what entry level positions I should look into?

Recently accepted a temp role as an HR admin for a former employer. Previously interned there & left because my supervisor did not have any growth opportunities planned out for me; this was in spite of my stellar performance, as reflected in my 90 day review. She has since left the company, but there’s crazy turnover in the company & in the HR department in particular. Just that an HR coordinator resigned. Is it worth going back into a dumpster fire w/ no leadership to gain experience?

I was on a partner/manager call today and they were discussing the “high” turnover at the senior and experienced associate level. What was shocking is that while ours is about double normal, evidently we are 3 out of 4 in turnover meaning 2 of the Big 4 are even higher.

I haven’t been at a B4 firm since 2018. Do you still require a professional certification to be promoted to Manager?

As a smaller firm, our people are being inundated by recruiters, but also staff/seniors from B4 firms looking to poach, I assume because there is significant financial incentive. How good are the referral bonuses at your firm?

Any raise freezes at other B4? Deloitte has remained silent thus far.

How to deal with people flirting with you at work.
I’m married, and one of my coworkers flirts with me. Nothing super overt, but definitely not professional. We’re good friends and work together constantly because we’re on the same client, so I don’t want to make it awkward. Do I just do nothing and let it go?
