What are some MBB exit opportunities in the DC area?

Seeking advice on career paths within tech after bizops. Currently in bizops and former consultant, and while the work is fine I’ve realized that bizops feels similar to consulting and in the long term I’m looking for a role that has more ownership and ideally more analytical. Does anyone have any advice/anecdotes on other roles that may be suitable, and what it takes to get there? Thank you!

I’m curious. What would you say is the best industry / sector for…1. WLB, 2. Great people / team, 3. Exit opp’s., and 4. Overall (mix of the above). Goes without saying the obvious “it depends on office, team, project, client, etc.” So this is an ask for general observations.

How much better are the exits ops from MBB vs T2. Don’t think I want to do consulting forever. But close to getting offer to lateral. Do I take it and exit in 1-2 years or just exit from T2? Thanks 🐠

Any nurses here not have hospital experience? I work as a community nurse and have previous experience in an assisted living and clinic. I don’t have much interest in going to the hospital. I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?
