Love that but I'm not sure how quirky it is, seems like ordering take out Chinese is kind of standard American tradition. But still love it! We always do a boozy Christmas brunch with my husband's family.. also not sure how quirky it is but it's a good time to pull out the prosecco and enjoy the morning while the kids open presents

We usually spend New Year's Eve as a quiet family gathering at home. The one odd traditional thing we do is have pickled herring at midnight. I guess it's not totally uncommon, as stores advertise it this week (I picked a jar of it yesterday). We also have cheese and crackers, pretzels, chips, the usual party type food.

We always do mimosas on New Years Day. But I wouldn’t consider it quirky.

Oh, I love me some good Chinese food don’t we tell you that. Honestly, none of my traditions from childhood have survived and I haven’t started any so it’s unique this year. It looks like I’ll be spending New Year’s Eve alone so maybe I’ll try the Chinese food thing.

That's really fun and unique. I don't have any traditions over the holidays. I may need to start some.
