I’ve decided to make my career in the government side of consulting. Been doing it 10 years. Seems hard to find jobs where I manage people unless at a big 4. Anyone else find this true?

Would doing a top MBA be a better opportunity than what I am doing now? Profile: 2 YOE B4 consulting; 3 YOE Product M at A; TC/year 210k; GMAT 740; State School 2.8 GPA I don’t have plans to lateral into another field (yet) and I already work alongside Post MBA PMs. I just feel like an MBA at this point is more for the networking rather than for the campus recruiting (to lateral into another field). I also feel like “the time is ticking” for me to make a decision comparing to others in MBAs.

How do you go from Big 4 to MBB or FAANG (MAMA?)?

Skill sets & 3 yrs of exp mainly centred around financial modeling, business modeling, micro enterprises development, pitch/project design. Most of us haven’t lived through a tech stock crash like this. We are not even at a recession yet and seeing this. I expect another 20-50% pullback across the board in coming 1-2 years. Sad times to have not sold the highs in November. What do you think?
