Ahhh yes the elusive trendy neighborhood that isn’t trendy enough for people to gather in large groups and make noise.
Ahhh yes. A man of culture, I see 🤝
Try near Clark Park (on 43rd and Baltimore)
I mean, you could live across the Schuylkill, near the South St bridge, which has more grad students and basically no undergrads. It can be a bit of a walk, but the bars, restaurants, and nightlife of center city aren't tooooo far away.
You could also live near Baltimore Ave between 40th and 50th. Close enough to campus but much more of a neighborhood. Not as much in the way of nightlife, but plenty of bars and restaurants.
Either way, I'd get a bike if you are going to Wharton. 38th and Locust is a bit of a hike.
You could also do Sansom East, or whatever the grad resident hall is. That's right in the middle of things.

Seconding Graduate Hospital area. Likely what you’re looking for.
Rittenhouse square area
Is this for grad school? Fishtown has what you are looking for and is a straight shot on the el - maybe 15-20 min commute. West is mostly undergrad and granola types if that is your thing. You can also try rittenhouse and grad hospital too.
Thank you all for the information!
