Your plan is fantastic! That's exactly the kind of life I want after I retire. Will you bring your family along on your travels?
I just got back from Japan, HK, and Taiwan. Planning to do my next big trip to explore the areas around Africa's Indian Ocean region. Starting in Mauritius, hitting some tropical islands and Madagascar for some wildlife viewing on from pristine beaches and some culture and history in between, before a final stop in South Africs.

Diving in Bonaire in March
That’s as far as I’ve gotten! Somewhere in maybe Europe in the fall
I have not! The dive forums are people raving about it!

That's a great plan. Visiting so many countries at once must take a long time. Are you currently retired?

Ah this is a fun exercise. Lots of work trips mostly just short 1-2 night trips. I’ll probably do one trip to India for work. I have 3 kids. One is working in London, one is in college in New York and one is in high school. We live in Chicago.
So a lot of this is coordinating around their schedules so we can see them. Luckily I travel to nyc for work a few times a month so I see my middle son fairly often.

I’m flying to Barcelona, taking three days to get from Barcelona to Avignon, then flying to Lisbon. Then back to home.
