I don’t care. If it’s alcohol, put it in a water bottle or something that isn’t obvious. You’d have to straight up pull a Jeffrey Tubin for me to care what you do on zoom. I only care about the work getting done and the meeting being efficient.
I'm OK with camera on, but sound needs to be off.
I don’t care, most of us are in back to back meetings and don’t even have 2 mins to grab food…like don’t be gross, but please feed yourself.
well what are your thoughts on lunch-time zoom calls where people are forced to turn on their camera while they're trying to eat lunch?
I usually try my best to not schedule calls during the lunch hour in order for people to get a 30-60 min break to eat, not be on a call, and focus w/o distractions. Honestly, if I have to be on a call during lunch, I make it known that my camera will be off while I eat.

I don’t think people should be forced to turn their camera on regardless of when the meeting is held. Some peoples obsession with the video component is borderline creepy to me.
If you can’t get up and get food why the heck not
I never cared when people ate during a meeting, why would I care now?
Maybe you have big conference rooms at PWC. I’ve sat in plenty of meetings where we were shoulder to shoulder.
My thought is, who’s the jerk who scheduled a meeting during lunch time? No meetings between noon and 1. If you absolutely must schedule a meeting in that time, you send a Door Dash electronic gift card and you buy your coworkers lunch.
I’m in New York and work all day with Chicago and San Francisco offices, and I never, ever schedule during their lunch times. You can set Outlook to display multiple time zones on the left side, so there’s really no excuse.
If you schedule a lunch meeting….you’re going to have people eating lunch. Muting yourself is key.
If it’s a call with a client, wait to eat your lunch. If it’s an internal call, turn off your camera and mute yourself. I usually make it clear that the meeting was scheduled over my lunchtime, so I’ll be off camera eating lunch.
If it’s just with a coworker I’m friendly with then no one cares but if it’s a client then absolutely not. We are stacked on calls all day sometimes and my directors are pretty understanding that sometimes we don’t have a lunch time.
Bleh. It’s the reason I won’t do the virtual meals. The requirement to be on camera while eating -no thanks.
Dont schedule meetings from 12 to 1
It doesn’t bother me unless they have the sound on and smack during the meeting. If they chew like a cow, it’s distracting to me just like it would be in person.

Sick invite bro
Like during lunch time 12pm
Or client or internal meeting?
Don't really care if it is a team meeting, think it is unprofessional if it is a client meeting. Think it is sad if the client does it, they should be showing us that they get a better wlb, right?
