Zero. It’s all about having a good book and knowing the right people.
When you’re ready to quit the industry and start your own company, it can come in handy.
Do you want to be a CFO? Do you want to be on the client side?
@OP by “this industry” do you mean creative agencies? If so, none.
But if you mean marketing/advertising more broadly, then yes. An MBA is a must-have if you want to be a client/CMO at most big brands.
(No idea about media or PR agencies, or whether they value a masters.)
As someone with an MBA: zero value in the agency world. But it will be useful when (yes, when) I go client side
In a Linear A to B way, probably none. In an ability to think more strategically, with more sophistication about business, operations, leadership, organizational structure, it’ll give you a ton of foundation. But it’s not a direct correlate—you won’t likely be hired because you have it or get a raise because of it. But will it perhaps make you a better informed, more capable asset to your team, probably. You can also accomplish this same thing by doing some executive education courses for working professionals that are less money and designed with schedules for people who work. Look into universities to start and go from there.
Zero. MBA or MFA won’t do a thing for you
Not many. Not necessary
