Herman Miller Aeron and it’s not even close.

I bought a used Herman Miller Aeron. Was in great shape for about 1/3 cost, works great for me

Bought mine used off FB marketplace.

I use a Herman miller at work and bought a steel case for home. I prefer steelcase but I think it’s more about preference then which is better. I like to sit cross leg and I find it uncomfortable in the Herman miller chair.

X-Chair is worth EVERY penny. I paid around $1,400 but the ergonomics are unbeatable. If you have a good, local ergo-furniture store, they should have floor sets to try out. But I recommend ordering direct from X-Chair bc they include a footrest for free (or did when I ordered) and the local stores wouldn’t match the offer. But 10/10. Highly recommend.

Don’t buy a Herman Miller Sayal. Waste of money.

Thanks for the heads up

Allsteel Evo is reasonably priced and comfortable. Expect to spend $300+ for a decent ergonomic chair. Other good brands are Steelcase and Herman Miller (now MillerKnoll). You can shop online or look up a local furniture dealer, who may be able to help you get a better price. They may also have inventory available vs. having to order something. Happy shopping!

I bought a WorkPro 1000 from Office Depot right at the beginning of the pandemic. After two years I’ve had zero issues, and it’s been super comfortable. They’re going for a little over $300 right now, but I believe I got mine for $250.

I had done a lot of readings before I bought my Herman Miller Aeron, but unfortunately it didn't quite work for me. It gives me lower back soreness instead. The size of the chair matters. I was deciding between A and B but went with B because A would have been too low for my desk. I have proportionally short torso and long legs, and B probably is just a little too big for me. Anyway, my take is that go to a used chair warehouse or retailor to try different chairs if possible. I didn't know this untill my 1-month return window passed..

You can find HM store and try on several chairs before deciding on your final purchase.

I have the Herman miller embody and was lucky enough to find it in industry city for 1/4 of MSRP. Amazing chair

I just got this today from wayfair. It’s light, compact and good price.

Herman miller Aeron, it will last you 30 years

like

Herman Miller Aeron or embody or Steelcase leap or gesture. Both will last you a decade or more. The Herman millers are better chairs, but less “one size fits all.” If they do fit you, they are a perfect glove though. The steelcases have slightly worse build quality, aesthetics, and comfort, but are far more likely to conform to any body type.

1099 or w-2 ? I have been given the option though the company prefers w-2. It’s a day rate booking couple of months or more (no end date). I already have 1099 from similar company this year and am leaning towards 1099, but I don’t want to be difficult. I do take home office deduction and they are not supplying any equipment. Suggestions?
