Currently am contributing money into both 401K and Roth 401K. Should I also open up a Roth IRA?

Any international 🐠 have experience moving from the US to abroad? My H1B got denied and now I don't know what to do with my US bank accounts, Roth IRA, 401k, etc.

Worth it to hop from one big4 consulting gig to another with 4 YOE to jump from 90k to 120k? Thinking i could max out my 401k and ira at that level and maintain my current lifestyle/spending habits.

I max out my employer Roth 401k, max out 2 Roth IRAs in mine and spouses names, have crypto, am keeping our first house as a rental property, and save for both kids’ education in a 529. Mutual funds feel like too low of returns but idk honestly, and we were trying to lean into real estate more and then the market got insane. I just turned 33 and currently have 165k in my 401k. I have a couple questions for folks who are much smarter than me on this stuff.. 1. Is that a decent amount for my age? I know some have more or less but want to make sure I’m doing okay 2. This money is split between three companies (Fidelity, T Rowe Price, etc) as I never rolled together throughout the years when switching jobs. Did I hurt myself a lot by not doing that and should I combine asap?

I'm sure this has been asked before, but what are your go to ETFs for a Roth IRA account? Is splitting 50/50 VTI and VOO a fine idea? Or add in a few other ETFs by sector? Maxing out my 401K already, but employer only gives one option so haven't had to think much about this. Individual brokerage focuses mostly on VFIAX, VGT, and a select few individual stocks.

Career advice? Have 10-15 years of experience. Credentialed actuary and first half of my career was pension consulting, since then have broadened to multiple areas of HR/Comp/Benefits. Testing the waters with some applications at both consulting firms and switching in house. First interview for director of total rewards was waste of time due to pay only being half of what I expected. What other groups/roles are out there I should be looking at? Would M&A HR due diligence have zero WLB? Thanks!

Did you know that the entire amount of your 401K’s growth is taxable AND the employer contributed match portion even in a Roth 401K the employer contribution portion is also taxable? Hate for people to assume what they see in their account is what they can depend on later, that’s what my Dad did and he paid dearly for it, literally.

Hello! I’m 22 and I have enough saved up in my emergency fund to go ahead and turn my savings to starting a Roth IRA (yes I have a Roth 401k that I contribute to with my firm). I’m not great in finance and so I was looking for investment options that fit best for a ‘beginner’. I was considering either a Target 2055 or a Target 2055 index Mutual fund. But now I’m seeing other options like ETFs and I’m getting confused. Any advice on where to start would be really helpful!
