Any advice on moving from L4 to L5 in Amazon?
Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

I received an offer for Solutions Engineering (SE) Analyst after my virtual internship at Deloitte this past summer. After talking to leadership and HR, here is what I gleaned about the role:
1) The SE role is designed to have more flexibility within the DC tech offering portfolios. Although you’re limited to the tech side, you can network yourself into pretty much any tech offering (at least this is what I was told).
2) The SE role is new—most full-time SEs started in January (or whatever their start ended up being). I took another offer, so I can’t provide experiential insight.
3) Deloitte has been rebranding, so this is near-equivalent to their previous “BTA” position
Hope this helps!
I actually do come from a computer science background, but I’ve consistently avoided taking on development type roles because that’s not what I want to be doing. So I can’t really speak to that, but I can say there are opportunities in a broad range of technologies.
For the interview process, you’ll be asked to take some kind of technical assessment, but this is primarily to determine if you are fit for a tech heavy (development/implementation) type role. This is because there is such a broad range of roles within Solutions Eng., they need to determine what types of projects ppl can take on. From what I understand this tech assessment isn’t weighed too heavily in the decision, just be sure to express that you don’t have a strong technical background to the recruiter.
You’d need to specify the service line / specialisation. As Solutions Engineering Analyst could contribute in areas such as testing, development, M&O, cloud computing, data analytics etc.
Understand. The email literally just says Deloitte Consulting and doesn’t specify further
