What does cyber work in MBB look like compared to Big 4? I’ve been noticing, particularly from McK that they have some cyber consulting positions here and there. I’m looking to stay in this field long term so I want to be aware of the career options. Also, I hear that moving to MBB from Big 4 isn’t always doable. Would cyber be easier for that since it’s more technical?

Can someone give me some insight on the CAMS prep process and exam? Time frame, rigor etc?

Currently SM at Bain (4 years post MBA) and was approached for a senior associate role in portfolio ops at a large PE fund. Been told 2.5 years to VP and another 2.5 years to director. Feels like the role is a bit junior but offers a 50% pay jump.

Thoughts on seniority? Also, any interview resources for PE portfolio roles?

When will I gain the skills necessary to be a senior? I’m coming up on my A2 year and I literally feel like a huge dunce. Can’t imagine taking on senior responsibilities. (audit btw)

2. What certifications are valued today? Seems like being a AWS Cloud Practitioner is a good general one, but are there others that stand out?

I graduated college 2 years ago and started working on RIA in FL as a Research Analyst. During this period I got my series 65 and brought to the company two clients (total assets of $3M). Networking question here. A retired partner at the firm I used to work out reached out to me recently about attending an afternoon during the week (b4 4/30) with one of his long time clients. Debating whether I should apply to McKinsey Early Access, Bain, etc. My firm is sponsoring me, so I wouldn’t actively be recruiting for consulting roles. Wondering if this is looked down upon

Is it more worth it to go into FDD at a regional firm now, or hope that my current big 4 will transfer me come spring 2021?

I'm kind of in the mindset of only doing FDD at big 4, otherwise I'll go straight to industry. Am I being too down on mid-market FDD experience and the related exit ops?

Also, I can't go the route of doing FDD at a different big 4. Already got rejected by all of them cause I'm not in audit (but have CPA).

I think I read about some kind of process where when an applicant reaches out to a current student or alum for a 1:1 and makes a good impression, the student/alum can send a message to the adcom letting them know? Seeking feedback on GAP insurance. I had a family member who purchased a car in June or July. They were in an accident last week and it sounds like the car will be declared a total loss.
