A senior banging a staff in a conference room at the office over the weekend. Left a used condom on the floor. Firm pulled the lobby tape and badge records to find out who. Both canned in spectacular fashion.

Seriously? If you are really a partner you can create whatever "cause" you wa t to fire someone. Lesson is to not piss off the partners.

I knew a D who staffed an entire project with undergrad seniors on the promise of getting a job when they graduated. They weren't even proper/official interns. Just kids he picked up at a campus recruiting event, working on their own laptops for like 40 hrs a week. Total maverick

PWC 2. That person is partner material.

You mean aside from poor performance? Expense fraud. Inappropriate behavior in the workplace. Harassment. Mediocre performance. Crashing into parked cars at client's parking lot after being told multiple times to slow down. Running a consulting business on the side and using firm's assets to do so. Refusing to work. Using drugs in the workplace.

Not fired but one of my teammates slammed another one against the wall for not pulling his weight. Had to work remotely after that. Security was there next day to make sure he didn't show up.

To what extent BCG?

Holy crap A1

Op wants to fire someone so looking for an excuse

Do we really fire people for mediocre performance? I've seen lots of people with mediocre or worse performance at the firm.

I believe what OP is trying to accomplish with this thread is a follow up to the troll post where someone got fired for expensing something they shouldn't have. I agree, this could be a good thread so people don't fall into bad habits and lose their jobs. Personally haven't seen anything crazy.... yet.

Had one situation where someone was given a strong warning (almost got fired but was given another chance) after going into the office on a weekend, drunk, with a non-firm drunk friend and being caught on tape spitting in an elevator and claiming no memory of it after.

I got laid off and am putting together my CV. I’m confused and would like advice on how to structure my resume given in consulting we move across so many different roles and type of project work. Would anyone mind sending me an example of their CV? I’m targeting FAANG and start ups at the moment for product management roles. Background is in human capital consulting though I’ve had technical roles in the past and one traditional product management role in a short project.

This is going to sound nuts. But, based on the close, here is the tip. LESSON: Check out where we closed on Friday and where we closed today. Same spot. Tip: Markets don't like to create a significant low or high on a Friday afternoons or Mondays. Very often they will trade their previous setup on Tuesday . . . Meaning, this sustained bullish trend can take us up to 3111.25 on a HWB Short or 3139.50 61.8% without blinking an eye. It's like the dip into lows never existed.

The essence of millennial/ gen z problems in corp America - i get an email late last night from my manager saying he wants to catch up with just me first thing in the morning. I know I’ve done nothing wrong, but I toss and turn all night thinking about what I messed up or why I’m getting fired and have that pit in my stomach the entire time until we meet. Turns out he’s just picking me up for a couple of his jobs because he likes me. I’m a confident person generally, why do I do this to myself

I’m interviewing at outside companies during my performance review cycle. All signs point to a positive performance review so far and my manager has even brought up the very likely possibility of a promotion within the next six weeks. But I’m interviewing elsewhere as I’d like to open myself up to different opportunities due to the work culture and compensation in my current role. Will accepting a promotion and then potentially leaving weeks after hurt my resume and burn bridges? Any advice?

Ever have an interview so bad you felt almost good about it? The recruiter started our conversation venting about a referral who was grossly under qualified. This immediately shifted to the agency does not follow industry standard titles. They are all very senior...so I should consider a much more junior role (they hadn't talked more about the role at hand). After talking of my experience they then summed me up as a "media person" and I had to correct that I never worked at a media agency.

Is there anyone that is teaching from home and your students have returned to school? How did you get permission to do that and how does that work with kids in the classroom? I am guessing there has to be an adult in the room while the students are in there but is there another teacher during their planning or do you have to get a sub? Our reentry has been delayed and I am working with HR to try and stay home while students aren’t there but it looks like I’m going to have to take some Parental Leave once students do return because there is not a plan otherwise.
