El Tiempo. No question.
Candente where they smoke you out? Their food is good but can be inconsistent at times…
Rising Star
I got confronted by a manager at Torchy's Tacos after I only tipped 10% on a to go order. Apparently the issue is widespread. So that's a place I'd say is overrated
Which location is this???
Anything in the heights

Whataburger
@O1 that is the most uninformed take I’ve read on whataburger. Literally, factually incorrect.
(Not arguing hype, to each their own)
All of the Landrys restaurants
Pro
This. Plus most chain restaurant really.
Barnaby’s Cafe
Y’all might be going to the wrong location? Each location is slightly different. The best one is on Woodway, the portions are huge, and everything has a good flavor. Every person that I have brought to that location says it’s amazing. I’m shocked to see Barnabys on this list!
Any restaurant in Houston Center (McCormick Schmicks, Guadalajara etc.)
He ruined the Kemah Boardwalk form a food perspective.
Any of the Pappas- Pappasitos, Pappadeaux, Pappas Burgers etc.
And can we talk about the Pappas Burgers ordering process?? Omg, you walk in, place an order at the register, and you're standing AT A POS but instead of taking your payment, they give you a ticket and then you get you own drinks and go sit down. Then a waiter comes by, reads out your ticket to make sure it's correct and then takes it back. 20 minutes later a different waiter comes to serve your food. And then at the end, a potentially third waiter will take your original ticket and credit card and finally checks you out. Wtf, why overcomplicate things this much? I just want a damn burger (they are really good though, which is why I tolerate this b.s.)
Goode Company Seafood too, jfc... so overpriced for what they're offering.
Goode seafood is amazing and worth every penny when you consider the quality. Definitely a favorite of mine.

How dare you. Ferocious steak.

Food is fine but service is horrible
Xin chao is terribly overrated. Food is not good and it’s expensive.

Tony’s
Trattoria Sofia. Would add Wild Oats/Underbelly Burger but I don’t think anyone thinks they’re very good.
I added 3 shrimp to my pasta for an $18 upcharge!
Heard Xin Chao is overrated. Can anyone confirm?
Vietnamese here, and yeah it was underwhelming. Ordered a lot of things to try and almost everything was kind of overcooked and hard. Rice and fried chicken was good tho
Perry’s
We find Perry’s as a whole to be good, but the original Perry’s Marketplace in Friendswood, which used to be a hidden treasure, has take a serious dive since the pandemic.
Rising Star
Brenners on the Bayou and Morton’s. Very very average and at $75 per head without booze, I want f’ing good.
Brenner's was absolute trash. So unseasoned and overpriced.
Rising Star
1751, Chivos, Field & Tides, Flora, Indianola, North Italia, Osso Kristalla, Ostia, Potente, Vic & Anthony’s all underwhelm for one reason or another
Try Romanos for pizza
Most restaurants around the Heights and Galleria overpriced in my opinion. I understand their a difference between a regular restaurant and one with a Chef, but 4 times more the price?
Cane’s, Chipotle, Whataburger
I wouldn’t consider these Houston restaurants, they’re all chains based someplace else
