Ya, agree with above. Maybe bump to 180 so you can take some long vacations and still be around 2000

Whatever the minimum hours requirement is, divided by 12.
Divide by 11, I take my full vacation!

170-180. Allows for vacations, reasonable social life, and no pressure from the firm (at least mine).

Whatever the lowest number is that still allows me to take 21 PTO days and receive full bonus.

150 gets you to 1800. You will not get fired for billing that. Also, differs by practice group. 150 in tax is probably a lot more taxing than 150 in general corporate.
150 in patent prosecution is slowly eating my soul. Feel like my brain never stops doing mental gymnastics

200 (including billable pro bono). Hear me out though. Steady 200 hour months aren’t that bad and then you get to take all the vacations/3 day weekends you want no questions asked. The best part by far though is then you are on the busier side which lets you say no to all the projects you don’t want to work on and people you don’t want to work with. It’s the only way to stay in this game for the long haul in my experience.

180 per month will let you take 4 weeks vacation and still make bonus.

Assuming most of your requirements are around 2k but is 170 accounting for stuff like pro bono or other hours that count to the 2k requirement?
Coach
I think 160
180 is great. 200 is a lot. Anything north of 200 is too much to do consistently.
