I got H1B Visa and 83000 USD dollar petition amount as annual package.I am confused as this amount will be enough to survive there with wife and 7 year old daughter. My wife is working here and together we are earning 50LPA annual. We are settled here by owning house too.Confusion is my wife will not be able to work there on H4 Visa so the kind of life we are living here will not be possible there.Thoughts?Suggestions?Pros and Cons?
Capgemini I gave Capgemini and got selected. HR discussion happened and we decided on 10.5 LPA. Offer came of 9 lpa. Called HR to revise offer as per our discussion, sent counter offer as well. HR has been delaying since last 2 weeks saying it’s still in approval. She is still not saying that business isn’t approving. Should I consider my offer to be gone?

Correct, A3A Tier II city (DC) is $82k + bonus. And No. The purpose of a cohort model is salary transparency. You can maybe argue for A3B or A3C. But the difference would be negligible.
That said, there are pretty sound rumors of a COLA adjustment this year + cohort pay changes
What city? Tier I A3A is 86k (I think, I was Tier II). Tier II = 82k, Tier III = 78k
Referring to the city s/he is
A3 = 3rd Year Associate / Highest cohort for a Associate. The cohort can I’ve horizontally from A3/A-B-C, but I’d say that is more the exception than the norm.
Keep me posted. I’m interested to see what they do
Washington DC is the city, do your tiers refer to the city or the level of consultant? Thanks for the input
I’m in DC. A3A is first year experiences associate level, at $82k. I’m an SA1 now at $95k base
Move horizontally*
Thanks a lot, so to recap: top level of experienced associate makes $82k base salary? Is there usually room for negotiation?
Interesting, when speaking to recruitment, I stated I needed a specific percentage increase to consider jumping. And that number would be higher than 82k. We’ll see how it all plays out. Thanks for your insight
PWC 1 - you were right, offered $82k base + yearly bonus eligibility + $5k sign on bonus. I think it’s a pretty competitive offer, really liked what the group had to say about role and growth. Any other tips on life at PWC?
