What is a holiday tradition you hope to carry on forever? Mine is decorating the tree with my kids the evening of Thanksgiving and watching football on Christmas Day… go Chiefs ❤️💛

I have some old ornaments that I remember from my childhood, and hanging them on the tree always brings back memories. And my relatives and I will always wind up telling stories of various Christmas misadventures. There have been quite a few, from tree buying disasters to gifts from a particular aunt that were awful and inexplicable.

like

I had an uncle who snuck in inexplicable gifts for our annual game of pass the trash. One year he brought human teeth strung on a necklace…

A close second would be attending midnight mass on Christmas eve and opening one present afterward

OMG we are Chiefs fans too!! I am from Kansas City originally so that has also always been a tradition of ours even though I feel for the players who have to play on Christmas Day. I know Mahomes was not happy about that at all.

Unfortunately, for me all of my favorite holiday traditions actually scratch that all of my holiday traditions from when I was a child have not survived adulthood so much has changed as we’ve grown so each year is a little different and all those traditions are just fun memories now

Is your firm treating 12/26 and 12/27 as firm holiday since the 24th and the 25th are during the weekend this year? Of course client demands would dictate whether people will be working, but curious what the official policy is. For what it’s worth, my firm treated the day after thanksgiving as holiday and I didn’t have to work for the whole day.

Does anyone have a similar experience? I interviewed with recruiters from two of "Big 4". Both interviews went well, and I was told the recruiters will submit my resume to the partners and senior managers for the next interviews. 3 weeks later, I received the rejection letters without the next interview. I wonder why the partners even not bothered to interview me. If it matters, I am a CPA with 3 years non-PA experience and applied for experienced associate positions. I appreciate any insights.
