I have 6 YOE in. Net+Angular and got an offer from Legato Health Technologies with 20 LPA Fixed, i joined Infor just 11 months ago with 12LPA Fixed and i will get the hike in August. If i resign now i will not get hike and i am a critical resource in the project, i guess Infor might try to retain me by matching offer. What should i do? Should i resign ASAP and not negotiate with Infor . I have all these doubts because Infor is a product based company.

A firm will speak to an HR dept who can only confirm if someone was an employee or not.
no - background checks are usually outsourced by big consultancies and they -
run a criminal record check
email your last employers HR to confirm you worked there
scan your academic transcripts against what you claimed on your cv to make sure they match - they might also check with academic institutions if the consultancy pays for a premium check
maybe run a basic credit check to see if you've got any ccj's, iva's, dmp (surprisingly common in the city i have found)
realistically, a big employer only cares if the background check finds you've lied or your a criminal - they're incredibly not bothered about anything else and certainly don't care about reading or seeking any personal references from previous line managers
Hi, I recently accepted the offer from fintech company. There was no requirement to have a degree, just a professional qualification in the job advert. I have shared with them my CV where I have only years when I taken the course because all my uni docs are lost. Now this company wants to check my academic qualifications, which I have never mentioned to have, would it be an issue if I marked “no academic qualifications” for hirevue? Thanks!

I would search this bowl as this question has been asked a few times with lots of individuals thinking your prospective employer is going to call previous employer when in reality that isn’t the case.

You can ask agency not to contact your current employer. Instead you can share documents such as current payslip, employment contracts to confirm your current employer, your grade, start date etc. they go back to 7 years work history, criminal history (DBS check) and education history .
