What is harder right now: finding value or explaining it? I had a customer complain about TV costs, then light up over free Pointless. Not glamorous, but it worked. Sometimes the small add-ons save the conversation more than the big shiny offers.

I find explaining it, and explaining why people need to go with us as our value is better. Our pricing is “all in” but the cheap guys do a McDonald’s model and end up costing more in the end. It’s frustrating.

I work as a Solution Specialist (sales rep) at an Authorizer Verizon retailer. Phone/wireless sales is not something I want to do forever. I have 4 years mobile sales experience and 3 additional years of niche sales/ customer service experience. I’m feeling stuck and every career/job move fells it is a step backwards. Started a new job 7 months ago. There’s been a hiring freeze and it seems they canned the recruitment team. Things seems to be slowing down drastically in the span of a week. Getting the resume all spiffed up and getting interviews together. When do you make the exit? “When you find a job” I know, but…

Also, would me making my exit to another role that I might leave in a 8 months bite me in the ass down the line? Do I just grab anything in the interim?
