Disney Streaming Services I completed my interview process with DSS early last week, and was reached out by recruiter that all rounds were strong hires, and they are extending an offer. We set a time to talk on Friday about the offer. However, the announcement of targeted hiring freeze happened on Friday. I was ghosted with no call. What should I expect now? Would I still have chance to be offered?

Received an offer as Engagement Director from Salesforce (CSG, pre sales, L9). Great benefits package, 40% increase in total comp and better WLB.
I do love the people in my practice and current client, but career trajectory has stalled after taking parental leave earlier this year and (yet another) change in leadership.
Realistically, making to Director is 2-3 years away and will require sacrificing time with my family that I am not prepared to give up.
Should I stay or should I go?
I have my last working day at IBM GBS in the month of july. Wanted to ask what documents should I carry to the office for asset return, what documents I will receive on my last working day and which ones I will receive after my lwd? Any action item to be done before my lwd apart from returning id badge and laptop ? IBM

Bain & Company Is it truly easier to get in a smaller MBB office?
Have heard a lot for different opinions on these. The logic is that it’s easier because there is a lot of supply in cities like NY, Chicago and SF, but the counter argument is that the offices with less supply are also way smaller and have a lot less demand.

McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!

Also, that was not a very nice comment. You’re sort of cementing my view of BCG as my last choice.
Don’t take an N of 1 as indicative of an entire firm.
Honest answer is you’re right last years off cycle hiring was crazy, and it would make sense for it to be less aggressive this year. We’ve basically doubled the size of our internship classes so next year incoming should be a lot of people. Will off cycle hiring be as wild as last year? Stands to reason maybe less so, but at the same time attrition is still high I think, so there’ll probs still be more off cycle hiring than usual.
*im not part of recruiting so this is all my own speculation
Missed the low bar last year, did ya?

No slowdown just yet, but last year was exceptional (>35% growth) so I doubt we’d keep up this pace for another full year
The bar for offers wasn’t lowered, but the bar for getting an interview was (i.e. funnel was widened).
So I’d recommend you just apply (with a referral is best) and focus on smashing the case!
Dude, you have to be the same person who was asking about being off cycle and thus having an easier process at BCG earlier
Just so your interview and if you get offered great if you don’t, move on. Who cares about the relative bar in the end? You’re wasting mental energy for no benefit on this
Thanks BCG4. This comment helped me feel the most better out of everyone. I think I’m taking it too seriously. If I don’t get the offer, just move on. I needed to hear that.
As someone who has been very closely tied to recruiting over the last year, I can assure you that the bar has not lowered, despite significantly increased hiring. We’ve just expanded the profiles we’re willing to take to include more experts and increased the applicant pool. This is likely to continue for the next several years, though likely not at 2021levels… and the bar for getting in will not move.
All that said, if you feel prepared, please apply. Don’t expect it to be any less rigorous, but by all means, give it a go! We’re always looking for great talent.

I’m interviewing for the first time this year.
Had my McK interview for the Houston office earlier this month, and I swear it was so easy - all three cases. Feels like the bar has been lowered but I’m not complaining

The purpose of the case is not to be difficult…
Certain offices are still as hard as ever (London, NY etc). But others, the bar has certainly been lowered to fill the growth demand
