0 - 1% at Kaseya. There is no average. If you don’t make a lot the % would be higher than someone that already makes a lot.
3% for me for exceeding expectations.
1-4% at Salesforce
2 or 2.5% at Cognizant. This year I’m yet to receive mine. Waiting……
2-3% as an above average performer. 5%-10% if promoted. If you want more money, get a new job.
This, to me, is the most complete and accurate answer here. I would add that the percentage is probably 0-2% for contract employees (which comprise a large percent of the workforce in many companies). At UPMC Health Plan in Pittsburgh, contractors pretty much don't get raises, the average payroll employee (which they call "full time" although we all work full time) gets a set percent that they apply for most, like 2-3%. Promotion will bring you more, but not a big jump. Same conclusion is that if you have worked there for five years or more without a promotion, you should consider seriously what kind of pay you can get anywhere else. It's reasonable to assume a 20% pay jump at that point by getting a similar job elsewhere.
As someone said above. There is no average. The largest factor is amount of experience. Newer developers usually get larger raises. Salaries plateau after 10-20 years and then its much less.
