Do rising seniors get a performance based bonus along with the promotion bonus and raise? Heard some of the staff 1s got some nice ovation awards from the firm for "high performance" this week.
Transferring from Assurance to PI (advisory) within the same city. currently a staff 2, but they are offering staff 1 advisory salary saying that “not everybody gets adj”. Should I negotiate?
Anyone negotiate a lower repayment term on signing bonus, or tried to reduce signing bonus to increase salary? Any good reasons to tell a recruiter for wanting this?
What mid-career compensation (at age 45 or so) can I conservatively expect if I pursue Corporate Strategy, and exit at the Manager/PL/EM level? Currently at 31 years of age
Thoughts on returning to a prior firm? Bad idea? Or ok under the right circumstances? My main reasons for leaving were better salary and to live closer to family. I work quite a bit more now so I don’t see my family that often, and am always working when I do go visit. Also, interestingly, I received a significant raise at my last firm about a week before I gave notice. So they *were* willing to pay me more; it just happened too late.
CD salary with 7 years as CD (13ish years total in the biz) at a large agency moving to another large agency? In New York. Feel like I have been underpaid and don’t want to get stuck again.
Need advice please! JD graduate, currently working at a financial institution (4 years+) - exploring a current opportunity at EY as a sr associate in strategy (non legal role) in NYC. Can any advise what numbers should I negotiate for as a my base and bonus please? #EY
What would be a reasonable salary and other comp at google for a regional finance manager (google cloud sales) in chicago?
Does anyone know if you will still get your bonus payout during a leave of absence or will they withhold until you come back? (considering taking a leave of absence this year)
Advisory manager at big 4, getting 25% base increase to go to smaller firm - bit fed up with current projects but have great network but idk if this I even what I want to be doing long term. Hard to ignore the comp increase. Thoughts? Should I try to get my current comp matched?
Been in consulting for a year now as an Associate with 1.5 years prior experience. Possibly could be promoted at my firm this year. Have an opportunity to work at getting a job with a FAANG. The job would pay 30k more base + whatever the comp comparison is. I am wondering what is a better career opportunity/what will pay more in the short term. And what are generally FAANG signing bonuses for non-engineering roles in engineering.
My salary is 72K as a staff audit 1 in NY. how much u think salary will jump after promo to senior?
Given the salary leveling that happened this past performance cycle, does anyone know what the Tech Consulting Manager base salary is at ACN now?
Looking at a job offer in the Bay Area where the total base comp for the Mrs and I would be brought up to $300k. Realistically how much do you need to make to even have a shot at buying a house in the San Jose area these days?
Senior 3 at EY, banked my bonus and expecting promo in October (so $30k on the table in bonuses to stay). Realizing that I'd like to explore accounting advisory though (either FAAS at EY or something at another B4 or other smaller firm (e.g., CBIZ?)). Any recommendations on timing of exploring this internally (should I float something up and investigate at EY this spring? will it take a full year to transfer if accepted? Am I kind of screwed by being a senior 3 and should've done this earlier?)
I feel like Deloitte is getting real slimey. Putting more than the typical number of staff on PIPs, to give themselves the opportunity to fire people for cause in a month or two without severance or anything.
Anyone dealt with colleagues with BO during a project? Been over 10 months and conference rooms at client site stinks!
Does anyone have insight into internal roles at consulting firms, specifically MBB? Where do people go from there? Or are they lifestyle jobs that people rarely leave?
PSA: reminder to schedule a day or two off in the upcoming weeks for a 4 day weekend (heck maybe even an entire week). It can do wonders for alleviating stress. Today I’ve gotten my oil changed, taken my dog to the vet, cleaned up my unibrow & have a facial scheduled. The rest of my day will be applying to jobs. I’ve only checked my email once and it feels so ridiculously good not to be tied to a laptop Monday morning. Take that time off ladies!
Shortest (Substantive) Hearing? I spent hours preparing a motion and the weekend preparing a reply brief for the judge to come out (well Zoom out), call the case, and say “I’m happy this motion was filed so I can revisit my prior order that I granted by mistake.” Uhhhh, ok. Thanks.
Why is it that when a Kardashian sends a nude selfie to everyone it is front page news, but when I do it I get fired and charged with "harassment"? #doublestandard
Currently a CTL in Bain and looking for opportunities in Europe. Wanted to check whether these make sense - 1) Senior Manager Group Strategy at Philips 2) Senior Manager, International Markets at Delivery Hero The comp being offered seems to be lower than CTL comp at Bain in Amsterdam/Berlin so not quite sure on how to negotiate. Would be good to get tips on the role/firm and whether there's a way to match the comp.
How interesting it is that the language ‘English’ restricted us to think what we can possibly think/experience/learn. I feel like because this language is so limited in words to understand our culture, it restricted several generations to learn beyond what we know today about our country and culture. I feel cheated 😭😞
For anyone worried about leaving before a busy season, my friend just got laid off from a mid sized. You gotta think about yourself first bc they won't hesitate to let you go,regardless of client load
Anyone have insight into what a VP interview for a PE role entails? Currently a VP on buyside, not sure what to expect and there isn’t much chatter online about it
Anyone move from management / technology consulting to a strategy consulting firm / role? Would you recommend the move? For context I have 1 YOE
